Former DA Announces Run for County Board of Supervisors

Bonnie Dumanis, the former municipal and superior court judge who resigned as San Diego County district attorney in July, officially announced her candidacy Thursday for the San Diego County Board of Supervisors, touting the support of Supervisor Ron Roberts, the man she hopes to replace when his term runs out next year.  Watch Here

It's official: Former DA Bonnie Dumanis announces she's running for supervisor

Former District Attorney Bonnie Dumanis has officially announced her campaign for county supervisor, the first prominent Republican to enter the race in a district where Democrats have a major voter registration advantage.  The top prosecutor, and a judge before that, Dumanis said she has seen the challenges that people in the county face, from substance abuse, to mental health issues, to homelessness, and has done what she could to address them through the judicial branch.  Read More
